1. Agreement to terms

By using The Stay Directory ("the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, guests, and accommodation providers.

2. What The Stay Directory is

The Stay Directory is a free listing directory. We allow accommodation providers to list their properties so that guests can discover them and click through to the provider's own website to book.

We are not a booking platform. No bookings or payments are made through The Stay Directory. All bookings are made directly between the guest and the accommodation provider on the provider's own website. We are not a party to any booking or accommodation contract.

3. Provider accounts

• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may only list accommodation that you own, manage, or are authorised to list.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of all information in your listings.
• You must keep your listing details up to date, including pricing and availability on your own website.

4. Listing content rules

Listings must not contain:

• False, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Content that violates any applicable law
• Spam, promotional content unrelated to the listed property
• Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Personal contact details in the description field (use the dedicated contact fields)

We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these rules, at our sole discretion.

5. Free tier and future pricing

Basic listings are free and will remain free. We may introduce optional paid features (such as enhanced visibility) in the future. These will always be optional. We will provide advance notice of any new paid features.

6. Intellectual property

By uploading images and content to The Stay Directory, you confirm that you own or have the right to use this content, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

7. Disclaimers

The Stay Directory is provided "as is". We make no warranties about the accuracy of listings or the quality of properties listed. Guests are responsible for their own due diligence before booking.

We are not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from bookings made with providers discovered through the platform.

8. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your listings will be unpublished and your data deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify registered providers by email of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
